It's no secret that December is my favorite time of the year. I am one might call a "Christmas fanatic" and I consider that to be a real badge of honor! If we're being completely honest, I maaaay have put up my Christmas tree before Thanksgiving. Hello, my name is Alex, and I am addicted to Christmas. There is just something about the Christmas spirit that is so real. I feel like December is a time that brings people together and you can feel the love and happiness in the air! OK, I am beginning to sound like a Hallmark movie, but, you know what I mean!
So, it's no surprise that when I was invited to be a part of The Networking Shoot with @katieleighhutt, it was a no brainier! I spent the evening with some of my favorite bloggers; @littleleebook, @sipswithstyle, and @according.to.d.blog, up in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado. We all came dressed in our holiday best and had such a fun opportunity to work with the very talented Colorado photographer, Katie Leigh Hutt.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with the most amazing charcuterie board from Cheese & Provisions, which is really the only proper way one should be welcomed at a party, right?! Seriously though, this board was a true work of art and I could not stop snacking on it! We're talking all kinds of fresh, delicious cheeses, honey roasted nuts, fresh prosciutto and cured meats, dried fruits... My mouth is watering just thinking about it! I'm not over-exaggerating when I say that it was the best brie I have ever had. I wouldn't give away that title lightly! The best part? Cheese & Provisions makes this boards for you based on your party size! Holiday hosting just got MUCH easier! You 100% need to check them out for your next shindig!
Katie made the room so festive with holiday music playing in the background and fun decorations everywhere! Is it just me or is anyone else obsessed with Christmas carols? KOSI 101 radio is my absolute jam during December (my boyfriend hates it... Grinch!!).
There were beautiful candles from Pearl Street Lights lit throughout the room and oh em gee did they smell amazing! Fun fact, I am a total sucker for a nice candle. I think that a candle is honestly one of the best gifts you can give! They are so perfect for hostess gifts, birthday presents, holiday presents, way to get through the week presents, anything really! These ones instantly became my new favorite though. I have since bought myself a huge one from their stand at the Denver Flea the other weekend because I love them so much. They are 100% soy wax candles and the wick is actually made out of wood, so it crackles like a fire when lit! It is one of the cooler things I've seen! I would HIGHLY recommend these candles as a must for your holiday shopping list!
As the night went on (and I continued to eat more and more of that damn but oh so delicious cheese board), we shared fun stories and sipped on our wine. These girls are seriously awesome and I always love getting together with them! Katie had gifts for us to open that she had wrapped in homemade wrapping paper. I am a total craft nerd, so this totally spoke to me! She just took a normal white paper and then painted on it. This wrapping said 'Networking Shoot', but you can let your creativity run wild here! I'd definitely say it's worth trying out for you fellow crafters out there! Inside the presents were awesome pairs of Revo sunglasses and ski goggles. The sunglasses were such fun, bright colors with mirrored shades and would make for such a great gift. As a Colorado girl and avid skiier, I was especially excited about their awesome ski goggles! I mean, check these puppies out!
As the evening sadly wrapped up (I guess all good things must come to an end), we finished the night with a cup of Whiskey Barrel Coffee and it was delicious! They age their coffee beans in old whiskey barrels, and yes, you can taste a hint of the whiskey and it is magical! I have been using it since and absolutely love it! This is the perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life!
I cannot believe that Christmas is less than two weeks away! Where is all of the snow?! I hope that you all have a wonderful holiday season and embrace the Christmas spirit like the crazy person that I am. Merry Christmas to all, and to all a goodnight!
